About
With a background in teaching and more recently in complementary therapies, I have many years' experience of supporting people of all ages and backgrounds. I am warm, compassionate and down-to-earth.
How do I work?
I start by building a safe, trusting relationship as I believe this is key to effective therapy. I use a range of therapeutic approaches (e.g. person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment theory) to meet your individual needs. Alongside talking, I may also use play, art or creativity.
I offer a comfortable, welcoming space in which you can be yourself. Together, we can identify coping strategies or perhaps delve more deeply into root causes. We will go at your pace and I will support you all the way.
By taking a holistic view of your needs, I can help you to become more aware of the physical, psychological and emotional impact of your experiences. We can work out what you need in order to feel less stressed/anxious, more confident, and more connected to yourself and others.
My approach is neuroaffirmative and LGBTQ+ friendly. As part of a multicultural family, I am culturally sensitive.
